You are saved. You confess you are a Christian. So my question to you, is what are you doing? When you accepted Christ as your savior, HE deposited gifts within you. Those gifts are to be used for HIS Glory. Those gifts are to help edify the body of Christ. What are your gifts? LOVE? EXHORTATION? SERVICE? ADMINISTRATION? Please do NOT say I do not have any gifts. Look at what you enjoy doing, and start there.
When I began to work in my church, I participated in many ministries. Over time, as I began to grow spiritually, I began to recognize with discernment, where I was to be and where not to be. As I look back at my beginnings, I see where God was preparing me for what He has me doing today. I may not participate fully in most of those ministries today, such as meetings, but I still intercede as part of the intercessory team, I still wash dishes, fix plates for the homeless ministry, and when the Holy Spirit tells me move, I move. I am passionate about nursing, so I am part of our Health and Wellness ministry currently. So start there, look at what you enjoy doing. What is your career? Are you a teacher? Are you a nurse? Do you work in customer service? How about finance? There is something you should be doing in the body of Christ. Think about it, pray about it. What are you doing? Read Ephesians 5:16 NLT
