Do you know the story of David and Goliath? Most remember learning of the little boy who conquered the big giant. As I was reading the story this morning, it was a reminder of how God will work in our lives "JUST LIKE THAT." In a matter of seconds lives can change. David taking supplies to his brothers turned to him being used by God to save his brothers. God ordained that moment in David's life.
JUST LIKE THAT, your life can change. Sometimes the change feels great and other times not so great. But know that God is ordering your steps. Have the faith of David. David told Goliath, "I come to thee in the name of the Lord of Host." The Lord of Host is with you wherever you go. Keep the faith. As God prepares you to walk in new territory and you face giants, remember the little boy who faced and conquered the giant! There is nothing impossible for God! Prayer: Lord we give you praise. Lord we give you honor. Thank you for being our Creator. Thank you for leading and guiding us on the path you have ordained before the beginning of time. We give you glory. In Jesus name, Amen. Scripture: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 KJV

When most hear the word servant the initial thought is "less than" "working for" and/or "slave". The word servant is looked upon as negative. Let me encourage you, today. If you are a servant to God and submissive to his will, you will walk as Jesus walked. It is life-changing to be a servant. Being a servant demonstrates humility, character, and love. Serving is not a sign of weakness but of strength. When you feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, and those incarcerated, (Matthew 25: 35-40) and/or whatever you are led to do by the Holy Spirit, you are ultimately serving God. God is love and your love in action, serving others, is serving your Father. So, who are you serving?
Prayer: Father God in heaven you are God Almighty! Thank you for providing opportunities to serve You by being a servant to your people. Lead us and guide us that you may get all the glory and honor you deserve. Teach us to walk humbly, love swiftly, and serve graciously. We give you glory! In Jesus name, Amen. Scripture: The greatest among you must be a servant. Matthew 23:11 NLT |
