As I was praying this morning, I heard God telling me there is purpose in your preparation. I pondered that for a minute, because I thought I heard it wrong. I have heard preachers preach on the subject of being prepared for purpose, so I was sure I did not hear the words correctly. I tried to change the words to what I thought was correct. But God, who is so merciful and full of grace, repeated His words and gave me a clear understanding.
I want to attempt to share with you. There is purpose in your preparation. Can your repeat that with me? There is purpose in your preparation. You see, you have a purpose that you are being prepared for, but you have to go through specific circumstances, situations, seasons, and/or lessons. The purpose is your preparation for promise. Let me give you an example. Years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic illness (specific circumstance) and I spent many months in the hospital, consecutively (season). During this time, I was lead to move to Atlanta, where God had greater plans. I also noted how some of the nurses treated me as a patient and I noticed some of the not so great practices of care. The purpose of these things prepared me for the promises. Here I am, years later living in Atlanta, where I accepted my calling (promise). I came out of the hospital a better nurse, I learned empathy. I gained a respect for nursing and people, which has led me to an awesome, created position, where I also minister on a daily basis (promise). What am I saying? Look at that season, circumstance, lesson, you are in right now and know there is a purpose to this time. It may be a good time, it may be a bad time, but there is purpose in it. See God. Ask God. Go through purposefully!!!!! Blessings!!!

What do you do when they hurt you?
Mistreat you? Scandalize your name? Plot to destroy you? _______________________ Pray for them. Pray blessings, not curses. Pray for them. Pray peace, not chaos. Pray for them. Pray restoration, not destruction. Pray for them. Pray love, not hate. Pray for them. Luke 6: 27-36 Do you think about how you measure up to other people? Do you sometimes wish you were as smart as your friend? If you could talk like someone else? If you had the muscles of that guy at the gym? If you could sing like the lead soloist in the choir?
STOP!!! Don't compare yourself to others. You are an original artwork. Every part of you was designed to be you. Everything about you is original. You were not made to be like others, because you have a unique assignment. Your friend, the guy at the gym, nor the soloist at church can do your assignment. Pray for continued blessings for them as they do their assignment but stay focused on your divine appointment and assignment. You have work to do!! Don't compare, be prepared for your assignment! Psalm 139:14, Isaiah 55:8 Are you asking God for something, and you have not heard from Him? Me too....
I am asking God what He want me to do with One Word for Life Ministry, LLC in 2018. Clearly, this morning, I heard.... be still.... I wanted to share that with you this morning. Be still.... God has an answer for you. God has a plan for you. In His perfect timing, your answer will come. My answer will come. Let us pray for patience and peace as we wait on the mighty manifestation of His promises. Blessings!! Psalm 40:1-3 What a wonderful morning! Brand new grace and mercy will be granted to us today! Another opportunity to serve others! That gives me such joy!! Working in the kingdom, on this earthly side.
Today, I will be attending another homegoing celebration. I am aware of several homegoing celebrations and preparations, today. I had a conversation on yesterday, the person asked me about end times regarding all the trouble we have in this world. I can honestly say, I do not have the answer, but the Word does. The Bible reveals so much to us about the end times, study Daniel and Revelation, to start. But, what I do know is we have a purpose and when this journey is over, when we have done all that we have been assigned to do, and when we have said our last "AMEN", we as believers have a home to go to. He has prepared a place. Glory! He has prepared a place! I can not speak for you, but I want to see Jesus! I want to stand before Him. I want to worship Him. He is still God and He is still good! In the midst of death, there is also life! He is so good!!! What a mighty God we serve!!! Romans 8:16-18, Revelation 21: 1-5 |
