alarm

Did you set your alarm for an early rising today? Did you double check it, to make sure it would alarm as the reminder to get up? Can I tell you something?
The alarm did not wake you up this morning, it was God. He has designed another day, for you to be busy in His Kingdom. With His mercy and grace, He allowed you another day to be about His business.
I stopped setting alarms, and He wakes me up when He want me to be up. I thank God for another day and early rising. I thank God for more time with Him.  I thank God for being my alarm. He is always on time!!! Praise God!!!!!

Preparation

I do not know who this is for, but God is preparing you. Right now. You feel like you are not connected, things are bothering you, and you are shedding tears at night. God is there. While you lying on your back, look up!! Then, this is going to sound strange, I want you to shout out thanks and praises to Him. I know, you do not think you can, but you can!! Begin with a simple thank you, remind yourself of the times He bought you out  before, remind yourself that He loves you and will never forsake you, and praise Him in advance for the victory!! He is preparing you!! You have work to do!! The tears you are shedding now are releasing and cleansing you for the victory. I'm so excited for you right now!! I'm joining you in the praise!! Why?? Because our God is in the blessing business and I know if He is allowing me to see your blessings, He got some for me too!!! Glory Hallelujah!!!

The Blood

The words of this song is in my spirit this morning, the blood will never lose its power. The blood will never lose its power! It reaches to the highest mountain, it flows to the lowest valley. The blood gives you strength from day to day. Find that song on your electronic device and let the words minister to you. The blood Jesus shed on Calvary, covers everything concerning you today. During the good days, you are covered by the blood, in the bad times, you are covered by the blood. When you feel like you can not go on, the blood gives you strength!!! Glory to God!!! Have a super Sunday!!!

D Day

I have a challenge for you. If you are already participating in it daily, great!! If not, this challenge is for you. Spend time daily in devotion. I do not care, what time of day, the length of time, or how you do it, JUST DO IT. There are so many benefits to spending time with God daily:
1. Peace
2. Understanding
3. Wisdom
4. He speaks to you
5. You are equipped with your Sword of the Spirit
6. You are refilled with the Holy Spirit
7. You are reminded who He is and who you are
Personal testimony:
In my humble beginnings years ago, I would try to pray and meditate at night before bed, each night I would fall asleep. I realized the night time was not for me. I now devote time with Him in the early hours, and I pray through out the day and at night :-). I used to read a scripture. Notice I said read a scripture, now I read and study the scriptures, then try to apply them to my life.
So start somewhere, 5 minutes is good, it is a start. When you start, you will wake up seeking His face first thing. I can not explain it, but you will want to just hear all you can from our Father. He will begin to reveal things to you because you have committed spending time with Him, to hear what He has to say. Pray first, before you start, He will guide you.
So make today a D Day!!!
Psalms 1: 2, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Timothy 2: 15, James 4 ;8a, James 1:22

Thirsty?

This morning I went for a walk, again.... If you read my post, you will notice, I walk/run often. When I returned home this morning, I noticed I was tired, hot, and my mouth was dry. So naturally, I began to drink some cold water and I heard "thirsty".
Are you tired today? Somebody have you hot today? Do you feel like you are in a dry spell? Get some water. The Living Water.
The Living Water will give you strength. ( Psalms 28:7)
The Living Water will keep you cool. (Romans 12:19)
The Living Water will keep you replenished. (John 6:35)
When you feel like things are not the way you want them to be, take a sip. Are you looking for peace in your home, in your marriage, or even within yourself, take a sip.
I promise you, there is NOTHING like, the Living Water!! The Living Water is the best water you could ever have!!
Are you thirsty?

Your race part 2

Today I started with another early walk. As I walked and talked, I thought about the path before me. There were many hills to climb, and I was thankful when I made it to the top, to some flat land. I could look back and see where I started, and I saw the end in my view.
Life is such, when you get to the hill, don't quit, keep pushing your way up, and when you get to the top, thank God!! Don't be mad at the hill, you were able to push, it made you stronger, you gained endurance, and the next hill won't be so bad. Keep your eyes on the prize. Look to Jesus!! He is with you every step of the way!! Even if you fall, He is there. Get back up, brush yourself off, and keep pushing. Run your race!!!

One Spirit, One Body

5/24/2016

We are one body and Christ is the head.... this weekend I was led out of my comfort zone. On Saturday, I attended a conference as a vendor. No big deal right? Well when I met the conference organizer and asked what church they were from, they replied New Jersey. The way I found out about this conference, was definitely Holy Spirit led. I felt His presence and I knew I was to be there. God even confirmed I was to be there by my writing. The morning before I went to the conference, my post was about Psalms 23. When I arrived to the conference, one of the presenters spoke from Psalms 23!! ( One Spirit)
Before I started the day on Sunday, He had me reading Ephesians. Chapter 4, explains just who we are. One Body, One Spirit. We are all the body of Christ and He wants us to be unified in Him. All of us, black or white, short or tall, purple or green, Baptist or Methodist, there is no separation.

I decided to drive to a church and surprise a friend. But when I arrived to the church, I was surprised!! No church on fourth Sunday!! I drove over an hour to be at the church. I started to turn around and go back home, but the Holy Spirit led me a different direction. I saw another church out the corner of my eye and was led to worship there.
We walked in the church and let's just say, you could immediately tell we were visitors. But God!!! I felt the presence of the Lord in that place.
Before the Pastor preached, the worship team sang a song about "in the midst of it all, there was Jesus!! I could have shouted right there and been done. When the pastor preached his sermon, it was what I needed. I was so blessed by his sermon. God used him in a mighty way. (One Body)
Before Jesus ascended, He left the Holy Spirit for ALL, all that believe in Him and those who do not believe, He is there waiting. The Holy Spirit do not change based on denominations or color of skin. Jesus came not to condemn the world, but that the world (everybody) may be saved.
One body, one Spirit ( Read John 3:17, Ephesians 4: 3-6)

run YOUR race

5/23/2016

This morning around 5 AM, I was outside walking/running with a  popular running group. As my friend and I were walking and talking, we started to compare distances. We started out at the same time but our distances were different. We both had a goal in mind, she reached her goal before I reached mine, but she did not stop, she went on with me until we both reached our goals.
Of course, in my car, God gave me a message to share.
RUN YOUR RACE!! The goal is the victory. We start out on this journey, but my pace will not be your pace and vice versa. But our goal is the same. We want to see Jesus!! We want to hear the words, well done!!.
The best thing we can do, like my friend did this morning, is reach back and pull someone along with us, encourage them to reach the goal.
I'm excited this morning. I'm running the race, He has put before me and I'm doing my best to encourage others to run their race, so that we all make it to the finish line. Happy Monday!! RUN!!!!

What Are You Doing?

5/22/2016

You are saved. You confess you are a Christian. So my question to you, is what are you doing? When you accepted Christ as your savior, HE deposited gifts within you. Those gifts are to be used for HIS Glory. Those gifts are to help edify the body of Christ. What are your gifts? LOVE? EXHORTATION? SERVICE? ADMINISTRATION? Please do NOT say I do not have any gifts. Look at what you enjoy doing, and start there.
When I began to work in my church, I participated in many ministries. Over time, as I began to grow spiritually, I began to recognize with discernment, where I was to be and where not to be. As I look back at my beginnings, I see where God was preparing me for what He has me doing today. I may not participate fully in most of those ministries today, such as meetings, but I still intercede as part of the intercessory team, I still wash dishes, fix plates for the homeless ministry, and when the Holy Spirit tells me move, I move. I am passionate about nursing, so I am part of our Health and Wellness ministry currently.
So start there, look at what you enjoy doing. What is your career? Are you a teacher? Are you a nurse? Do you work in customer service? How about finance? There is something you should be doing in the body of Christ. Think about it, pray about it.
What are you doing? Read Ephesians 5:16 NLT
