I was looking at a picture this morning. The picture is of a woman with an umbrella covering her head. Although the umbrella is to keep us dry, we still may find ourselves a little wet. Sometimes, we may step in a puddle. Sometimes, the rain is so fast and fierce, we still get wet. When the rain is coming from all directions, we still get wet.
Jesus is our covering, but we still have storms in our lives. As we are going through the storms, just like the umbrella, Jesus is still with us. Jesus is not letting the storms hit us as hard as it could, because as the covering he is blocking the hardest hit from us. You need to know, eventually, the storm will cease. If you are in a storm right now, know that Jesus is covering you. Keep your faith. Trust God. Keep walking, with a God confidence, wherever He is leading. You are covered. Isaiah 41:10, Matthew 8:23-27 How many times do God have to show you the vision? How many times do God have to tell you the vision? He has already prepared the path; He is waiting on you to take a step.
Trust God, not man. Trust God, not fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 Death is not the end for believers.
When I worked as a hospice nurse, many times, I was asked how I was able to handle the deaths. My response was and continues to be, death is not the end. I do not look at death as a final experience, but as a start to a new beginning, with Jesus. The Word tells us of this hope. This eternal life. This new kingdom, if you will. So I know when I close my eyes for the final time, I will leave this old body, and reside with Jesus, forever. That is not bad news, that is good news!! Yes, we are grieved by the deaths of our family and friends, but if they were believers, they are in a better place. They are in the best place, with Jesus. Just imagine, when He comes back, those that are sleep, in Jesus, will rise first and be caught up with Him!! We will not be here for the tribulation to come. When I envision how that will look in my mind, I become excited!! Are you afraid of death? Are you a believer? Don't be afraid, it is part of His plan. He allowed your life for a purpose, but He also had a mansion in mind, just for you! John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58, 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18, Revelation 21:1-4 This morning, I was reading Judges 11: 4-10. As I was reading, I was reminded of how God will use your enemies to elevate you. This guy was an outcast because he was a child of a prostitute, but when there was an issue, the very people that counted him out, pulled him in.
Do not worry about what people think about you, they are not writing your story. God is the author and the finisher of your faith. Continue to love those that counted you out. When, not if, the manifestation of your purpose is revealed, give God all the glory. Hebrews 12:2, John 3:16-17, Matthew 5:44 When you walk in a room, do the room light up or dark down?
Hopefully, the room will light up, not because of you, but because your light (anointing) lights up the room. You do not have to shout to the room how much of a Christian you are, just live righteous. You do not have to wear the t-shirt, tote the bible, quote tons of scripture, just live holy. Let your light shine before men, that they are drawn to Christ, not you. Will the next room you walk in, light up or dark down? Matthew 5: 14 -16 No weapon formed against you, today, will prosper. They may form, but they will not succeed in taking you down or out. When those weapons form, use your Sword of the Spirit. From Genesis to Revelation, you are equipped. Use the power of the Word. Speak to every weapon formed. Know that you are victorious because God is on your side. If God be for you, who can be against you???
