Yesterday, I attended a homegoing service. Actually, I have been to more homegoing services in the last 6 months than I want to admit.
While in the midst of all the reflections of the loved one, a word came to me... the Bible tells us there is a time to be born and a time to die.
Clearly, we must do something between those times. What?
Try living.... Live a life so powerful. Live a life so free. Live a life worth living.
When you die and others come to celebrate the life you lived, will it be a celebration?
Just a thought....
You are worthy!!!! Ask me, how I know?
Because one day, before you were formed in your mother's womb, God thought of you!!
You were wonderfully and fearfully made.
There is none like you.
They can look like you, talk like you, and they may even behave like you; but they are not you!
God thought to himself, He wanted a beautiful, strong, faith-filled, praying, trusting, and believing son and daughter.
He knew winds would blow and storms would rage, but He knew He would cover and protect you along the way.
He knew you would continue to praise Him as He continued to raise you above the circumstances.
You are so worthy of His love, mercy, and grace!
Know who you are! Even so, know who He is!!
You are worthy!!!
I am standing on what I know this morning.
I know NO weapon formed against me shall prosper.
I know God will NOT leave me or forsake me.
I know there is NOTHING too hard for my God.
I know I can do ALL things through Christ, who strengthens me.
I know I am the head and not the tail.
I know I am more than a conqueror.
I know ALL things will work together for my good.
Stand on what you know, today....
Pray for me and I will pray for you.
P- pray for peace in all circumstances we will face today
R- pray for resistance from those things that will try to distract us from God
A- pray for acceptance to God's plan in our lives
Y- pray for the ability to yield to the Holy Spirit and walk in obedience.
Pray for me and I will pray for you
Philippians 2: 3-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Have you ever had a "lost for words" trying to explain Jesus? Have you ever had a "lost for words" trying to explain how awesome He is?
Sometimes you do not have to speak, just keep living.
The joy that you have tells it all!
The peace that you have tells it all!
Keep walking boldly in joy and peace. When someone ask you about where it comes from, just let them know, nobody but Jesus!
The Holy Spirit will give you what to say and when to say it, you just keep walking.....
You love God.
You trust God.
You are obedient to God.
You have faith in God.
Honestly, you have times in your life, when you doubt, get worried, get sad, cry, and hurt.
It is okay to experience emotion. It is okay to be you.
Remember God sent us the Comforter, because He knew we would need comfort.
Remember he sent us the Savior, because he knew we would need saving.
When (not if) those moments come, go to the throne of mercy and grace.
Open up your instruction book and meditate on the Word of God.
Speak life, speak boldly.
YOU ARE AN OVERCOMER!
YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU!
YOU HAVE THE VICTORY!
2 Timothy 1:7, Luke 10:19, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
It is going to be a Great day!! Repeat that.... You know that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Are you aware that ALL things work together for the good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose? Maybe, you need a reminder, that you are ABOVE and not beneath. You are the HEAD and not the tail. You are MORE than a conqueror!!! One more fact to speak over yourself, there is NOTHING too hard for our GOD!! It is going to be a GREAT DAY!!!
Blessings!!! Here is a bonus:
It was so cold yesterday. I prepared for the cold by dressing in layers. I made sure I was covered. As I was walking into my place of employment, I noted I was weighted down and moving slower than normal. This thought came to mind, isn't it wonderful, that no matter the situation, we are always covered by the blood. Before we walk out the door we should prepare for the day by asking His will be done. Pray for His guidance and protection. Pray for others. You do not have to be weighted down. Jesus has you covered.
Be prepared for your day, spiritually.
New year, new you. Are you going to do the same and expect the same or are you going to do different, expecting better?
Every year, I do a "mirror check." I look at the things I did the previous year, the results of those things, and what I can do to improve. I do a "mirror check" in every area of my life, physically, mentally, financially, and spiritually. Each year, I raise the bar.
Of course, before any goal is made, I go into prayer. I seek His direction, because He knows the plans, He have for me.
Is it time for you to do a "mirror check"? Do you need to make some adjustments? Have you sought the Lord?
Are you pressing your way or standing still? Today is a new start, a new beginning, a new opportunity, to be great. Do not concern yourself with the mistakes of yesterday or years gone by.
Press forward with your head up high. What did not kill you, made you stronger.
So, press your way! Press on, God has great things in store for your greatness!!
Prayer gives you power to walk on purpose
