The Storm...

I drove through an awful storm yesterday. While I was home, my best friend sent me a text to see if I had made it home. This morning as I was reflecting after our morning prayer, this thought came to mind....
We all need friends that will check on you during the storm. My friend did not try to stop the storm, she did not try to stop me from going through the storm, she only made sure that I was safe after the storm. My friend knew Jesus had me in the storm, she knew there was peace in the storm, she knew I had to go through the storm to get to where God needed me to be, and she knew to pray while I was going through the storm. 
Thank God for the storms and the the friends that will pray for you in the storm. 

I want to dedicate today's post to my friend. Today is her birthday and as always she has a thankful spirit this morning, all because of who God is.
