Mirror check

When you look in the mirror what do you see? Beautiful eyes, pretty smile, and maybe some pretty white teeth. You feel good right? 
Look a little deeper. Look at your heart. What do you see? Are you harboring hatred toward someone in your past? Is there somebody you need to truly forgive? Are your motives coming from the right place? Are you looking for accolades for things you have done for others? Do you need to forgive yourself?
When you begin to really look in the mirror, it can be ugly. But there is hope!! God is in the beautification business.
Ask me how I know. Because with God, I have learned to love others in spite of how they treat me. I have learned to pray, not that they change, but that I am lined up with the Word of God. We are all imperfect people, but God is perfect. Before you begin your day, look in the mirror. Ask God to help you with those things you know are not so pretty. Trust me, it is a process. Start one look at a time.
