What do you do when God answers your prayer, but it is not the answer you really wanted?
First, you accept the answer. How do you accept the answer? You remind yourself He is God; He is sovereign; He knows best. Second, you stay obedient. You walk in His will, not your own. You press forward. Third, change you attitude. (heart) Changing my attitude was, no is, my struggle. I accept the answer, I am going to be obedient, but my attitude needs adjusting. My heart needs to be right. I had a heart to heart with Jesus last night about this thorn in my side. Clearly, He said, " Lean not to your own understanding". In a brief moment, I knew that He knew. He knows how I feel. Matter of fact, He is allowing me to go through this for a purpose. He is teaching me. He is molding me. He is preparing me. He knew everything about this circumstance before I knew. I also recognize it is all for His glory! He will manifest so powerful in your circumstances, that everyone watching will know it was God that fixed it. It was God that healed. It was God that restored. It was God that delivered. It was God!!! Have you recently received an answer to your prayer and it was not really the answer you wanted. Where are you with that answer now? Acceptance? Obedience? Attitude? Here is my solution.... as I change my attitude (heart), I am going to keep thanking Him in advance for the victory. I know I am victorious! I know you are victorious! Thank Him for the answer and thank Him for the victory!!
