I remember when I used to say I had to get right before I could join a church. I did not understand back then that it was not really about joining a church, but having a relationship with GOD. After initially joining, becoming baptized, I still did not quite understand. It took several years for me to finally get right!!
I had to realized getting right, did not mean I was perfect. Getting right did not mean my life would be trouble free. Getting right did not mean I was a Bible scholar. Getting right did not mean spending every waking hour at the church and participating in every auxiliary! (Praise God!!)
Getting right meant having a relationship with my Father. Seeking Him everyday. Spending time with Him everyday. I realized I could not get right without Him!! What a revelation!!!
It was after my relationship developed and matured that I realized I could not do some of the things I used to do, I could not say some of the things I used to say, and I could not go to some of the places I used to go. I actually had to love people, even those that meant me harm. Say what??!!!
I promise you, if you are in that place today, do not waste your time trying to get right, let Him get you right. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart, He was raised from the dead by His Father, and then allow Him to start the get right process.
Prayer gives you power to walk on purpose
