Yesterday I was having a conversation with a complete stranger about recent events in the news. As we were talking a song came to mind, What the world needs now is love, sweet love.
This man was Caucasian and as we were talking we realized we were both from the same state, ex- military, and other various things in common. He said we are all more alike than we are different. He said we need compassion. I said we need love. If we can love one another, then everything else would be second nature. We would have compassion, respect, and we would not fear one another. It sounds impossible, but Luke 1:37 reminds us that nothing is impossible with God. Matthew 22: 37-39 reminds us to love God first, then love our neighbor as ourselves. That had me pose a question to myself.. the people that are killing others, do they lack love for God and themselves? I know that things look really bad right now, but because of who we are, we have to still trust God and know He is still sitting on the throne. The enemy may think he is winning, but he obviously forgot he is fighting a losing battle. I will never see this man again, in a few minutes, we became friends. What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

My heart is heavy from all the violence in this world, especially over the past few days. I have been asking God to help me and early in the morning, He have given me specific scriptures that help. I hope they are helping you. The scripture from yesterday was shared and liked by over 100 people in one of my FB groups. Thank you Lord for the Word. The Word gives us peace, hope, understanding, and reminds us to trust you. Today, is a two post day... Enjoy your Saturday. Keep your mind on Him...
When God gives you a vision, trust that vision. The vision was given to you, not your family or friends. When you start to listen to the people around you, you begin to doubt the vision. That doubt is a trick of the enemy. The enemy will have you feeling discouraged and ready to give up. Be careful.
Sit in a quiet place and listen for God. He gave the vision and He will make it plain. The enemy has no power over the vision. Doubt, discouragement, and giving up is not an option. I pray for all the visions today that are under attack. What is for you is for you and no demon in hell can keep you from it. Trust the vision, most importantly trust God, He wrote the vision. It's dark, gloomy, wet, and cold outside. You are standing in the middle of the street and a car comes rushing past, making water splash all over your clothes. You become upset, cross the street and enter your place of employment.
When you enter your place of employment, you still feel dark, gloomy, wet, and cold. You bought it in with you. As you make your way to the elevator, you smell coffee brewing in the cafe, so you decide to get a cup. When you begin to pay, someone pays for you. You make your way to the elevator, sipping your coffee, which makes you feel warm. Someone greets you with a smile and hello. You smile back. You notice the flower arrangements and the bright lights in the corridor. You smile thinking about the vacation you took a few weeks prior. You make it to the top floor and when you get off the elevator you feel great!! It's bright, clear, dry, and warm. Why did I tell this story? Because, it is not about how it starts but how you finish. Be careful of the darkness around you, brighter day is coming. Do not take the darkness with you, leave it at the front door. As God continues to elevate you to the top, when you get there, you will not remember the dark days, only the sunshine. Do not look back, keep pressing forward, all the way up to the top floor!!! The day after Independence day. Independence is great! It is great to be able to make your own decisions and to be free. I love independence but realized I must be dependent on God. I can not do anything without Him. We can not do anything without Him. He created everything. Our God is so good, He allows us to have free will. We can choose or not choose to love Him. I do not know about you, but I do not trust myself to be independent from the One that created me, the One that has plans for me, the One that protects, guides, and loves me. Think about it. Why would you want to be independent of God, when He gave his only Son, for you to be saved. John 3: 16- 17 Have a terrific Tuesday!!
Today's post is inspired by my recent visit to Universal Studios. Transformers was one of the exhibits and I'm looking at a souvenir cup. As you may know the transformers look like cars, but change into speaking, fighting machines of power. I don't know if they push a button or think themselves into a change, but they transform pretty quick.
I thought to myself, with the power of the Holy Spirit we too can transform. We look like regular people on the outside, but our heart is transformed after an encounter with God, or it should be. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we too can become speaking, fighting machines of power. When we use our sword of the Spirit, we speak with power like no other. We can heal, build up, love, and destroy yokes just by speaking the Word. Now we do not have to fight any physical fights and tear up buildings, homes or etc. We stand on the Word, and let Jehovah Nissi fight our battles. I like that, because that way I know we have already won the battle, no suspense in the end. We win, hands down!!! Are you transformed today? If not, ACTIVATE!!! Timing is the word today. Trust His timing. I know you want that husband/wife right now. I know you want the job promotion right now. You are ready for that house right now. The car you want, has your name on it!! I know.... been there, done that...
But there is nothing better than waiting on His timing. God knows everything. The person you think is meant for you, may not be the one. The job promotion you seeking, is a position that is being terminated. That house you want is sitting in a flood zone. The car you want, you really can not afford. What I have learned is, while waiting on His timing, He was opening doors. He is preparing me for that spouse, I had to learn to love me first. He was customizing that job just for me. He prepared me for the right home. He knew what car I needed. Trust His timing. He is working it out, preparing you, and customizing your blessings!!!! Good morning! Yesterday as I was doing my morning run, I ran into a snake. He was pretty big and colorful. As I pondered on that yesterday, God showed me two things about the snake and I want to share it with you.
1. He was dead. 2. He was in the open. There may be some snakes in your life, but I need to remind you, they are already defeated. Dead snakes can't bite and they have no power to strike. Those snakes in your life, have no power, they are already defeated. I saw the snake before he was too close. Those snakes in your life, have been revealed to you. Pay attention. God will not let anything get too close to you and you not know about it. As we walk our journey, we should always look for God. He will direct our path and He will protect us along the way.
