I was reminded about waiting for God to move.
The person talked about a plane and immediately God showed me the runway.
When you are waiting on takeoff, so many other things are happening in that moment. Luggage has been placed on board, passengers are strapped in, the pilot has checked the equipment, and he waits for the other planes to be safely out of the way. Then the moment arrives, and you feel and hear the plane building up speed, and the plane makes it way down the runway up into the sky, takeoff!
Guess what, you are now the plane. God is the pilot. He is preparing you for takeoff. You think you have already landed.
You are teaching Sunday school, but God is moving you to the pulpit!
You are preaching at your home church, but God is about to move you to preach around the world!
You are working on the assembly line, but God is about to make you supervisor of the whole shift!
You are clocking in and working a 9-5, but God is about to make you an entrepreneur!
You are in junior management, but God is about to make you a CEO!
Buckle up, God is preparing you for takeoff!!!
God is working behind the scenes. He has prepared the ground, he has prepared the tools you will need, the luggage you need to take with you and the luggage you need to leave behind, everything and everyone will not be able to takeoff with you.
Get ready! Takeoff is coming!
When God is the pilot, you can trust the takeoff, the ride, and the landing!!
Prayer: Father God, thank you. As you prepare our hearts and minds for takeoff, we ask you to please remove all fear and doubt we have about the landing. We know you to be a mighty wonderful Pilot who knows how, when, and where to guide us safely. We only pray that we remember the journey is not about us, but all about you, that you will get the glory in every move we make by obedience to your call. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. Psalm 130:5 KJV
Do you feel as if you are in a tug of war? God has told you to do “something”, but you will have to move from the comfortable to the unknown. So, instead of releasing the rope, you are pulling to stay where you are. Can I encourage you, today? Let it go! The pulling you are doing, to stay comfortable, is blocking you from God’s plan. You are unnecessarily pulling against your own next level! Let it go!
Remember the young rich ruler? After Jesus told him he would need to give up all he had for eternal life, what happened? He did not let go, he sadly went away, and decided worldly possessions were better than eternal life with Jesus. Do not be like the young rich ruler! Let it go!
At the end of tug of war, those that normally let go, end up falling on the other side. I do not know about you, but I rather fall on Jesus side, where I know he will pick me up and place me on solid ground.
Stop pulling to stay where God obviously wants you to leave. Be obedient and let the rope go!
Prayer: Lord God, open our hearts to obedience. Strengthen us to let go of what is holding us back from a new level in you. Forgive us for pulling unnecessarily against the plan you have for us. Today, we are letting the rope go. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Scripture: And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake will receive many times as much and will inherit eternal life. Matthew 19: 29 (AMP).
It is another holiday season. And many are robbing Peter to pay Paul just to put gifts under a tree. Some are working overtime and taking out loans, just to buy the biggest tree, to buy food to feed an army, and to see a second of joy on the face of others. Unfortunately, we as a country, as the people of God, are acting like the children of Israel, and forgetting about Christ. Yes, I know the debate about his actually birth not being on December 25th, but this is the calendar day set aside for the remembrance of Christ birth. We are more concerned about presents versus his presence. There is absolutely nothing wrong with exchanging gifts. It is a blessing to give! However, in the midst of buying gifts, remember the ultimate gift given to us, in Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Prayer: Lord, I want to be in your presence. I want to walk in your presence. I want to bask in your presence. I want to be consumed in your presence. No gift under a tree can give to me what your Present did on Calvary. The Present you gave opened the way for me to be in your presence. Center my mind and open my heart on the Present you gave to set me free from bondage. The Present you gave that gives me hope. The Present you gave that gives me joy. The Present you gave that gives me Eternal Life. Lord, to be in your loving, faithful, gracious, and merciful presence is where I want to be. Amen.
Scripture: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV
Thank you, Lord.
I hear you speaking in the silence. I have learned to look for you in everything. I know your voice because I am your sheep. I hear your audible voice. I hear your silent voice. You speak to me every day with your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. I am in awe of your power and majesty. I know your eyes are on the sparrow, but even so, your eyes are on me. Thank you, Lord. Continue to speak Lord for your servant is listening.
I love you, Lord.
Scripture: And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. 1 Samuel 3:10, KJV
It is not what you see but how you see it that may make all the difference. When life suddenly shake; are you struggling or is God moving strategically on your behalf? I understand things occur that will take your wind away, but if you are still standing, God is still moving! If you are still breathing, God is still shifting!
Is there more money than month or is God strategically teaching you to be a good steward?
Did you lose your job or is God strategically putting you in position for better?
Are you struggling in your relationships or is God strategically teaching you how to love, forgive, and support others?
IT IS NOT A STRUGGLE; IT IS A STRATEGIC MOVE OF GOD!!!
Prayer: Thank you, LORD! You are faithful. You are loving. You are continually moving on our behalf. You are strategically shifting us into our purpose, and we give you glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Psalm 73:26 NLT
Recently a tree landed on my home. Now, I know for many, the first thought is one of great concern. However, let me assure you, all is well. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the tree, when I saw the tree-made skylight in the roof was "HE KEPT ME!"
Yes, I was in the house.
However, when I looked up again, God reminded me that he told me he was doing some NEW things for me in 2022 (you can shout right here)! But then he said, and this is the word for you today, "Getting to the new will not always be easy or comfortable, however if you continue to trust me, if you continue to go through, there will be NEW!"
I began to see a new roof, new floors, new bathrooms, and new paint!!! But I realize it is not about the NEW tangible stuff but the NEW he is doing with me! More patience, more peace, more strength, and another reason to give him praise!
I pray this encourages you, if you are waiting on something NEW, keep pressing, keep trusting, keep standing, keep believing, your NEW is on the way!! Hallelujah!
Prayer: Thank you Lord. You are Mighty! You are Faithful! You are ALL POWERFUL! Take us by the hand and guide us this day. Let your will be done in our lives. When we see the world falling apart in our lives give us the strength to see you and have peace. Remind us that all things work together for the good, for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We give you all glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: And he that sat upon the throne said, "Behold I will make all things new."
Revelation 21:5 KJV
As a person who dabbles in gardening, there is nothing like the joy of seeing the harvest. Planting seeds is only the beginning. The process can be long and tedious. Sometimes an insect or animal may try to harm the plant. I may water too often or not water enough. But if one plant produces fruit, I become overjoyed!!
I do not know who this is for, but I came to tell you continue planting seeds because you will reap a harvest. Don't give up! Keep pushing! Keep praying! Keep writing! Keep teaching! Keep preaching! Keep speaking! God is pleased!
Prayer: Lord, strengthen me today to do your will. Remind me, in my weakness you are made strong; I can do all things through you who gives me strength and I must run and not be weary, for everything I do is for your glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: I have planted, Apollus watered; but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6 KJV
Recently, I have been thinking on the story of the woman with the alabaster box. The account found in Luke 7: 36-50. This woman is pressing my spirit. As I read the beginning verses, her knowledge of the situation is inspiring. There are two things this woman is sure of, one, she knows she is a sinner. Secondly, she knows Jesus is going to be at the religious leader's home. But, knowing this did not stop her. She must have been aware that the religious leaders and those in attendance would know her as a sinner as well. Matter of fact, further down in the verses the man alludes to her sin.
Have you ever walked in a room and the room becomes quiet? I can only imagine the reaction when she, a sinner, walked in the home. However, she did not quit. She took her precious box, poured out her heart, in spite of who she was and what the people thought they knew.
My questions for you today, is where is your box? What one thing is holding you back from repentance? from worship? Are you ready to give it all Jesus?
Prayer: Lord, you reign! You are Alpha and Omega! You are Lord of Lords! You are King of Kings! Give us the strength to come to you and repent daily. Give us the faith to worship you daily. We recognize we are imperfect but you God are perfect! Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. We give you praise, honor, and glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Psalm 51: 17 KJV
One week ago today, something I did not plan happened. However, what I realized, when it is not part of our plan, God still has a plan. So, I am going to continue to P.L.A.N.
I am going to continue to walk in Purpose.
I am going to continue to Love God with my whole heart.
I am going to continue to ACCEPT His plan.
I am going to continue to Nourish my relationship with Him.
No matter the circumstances of life, God deserves all the glory and the honor! I have learned to be content in whatever situation, like Paul.
Prayer: Thank you, Lord! You are all we need. We accept your plan for our lives. It is for you to get glory and honor. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: You can make many plans, but the Lord's purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21 NLT
When God shows you an event, circumstance, or situation, you can trust it will come to pass. It may not happen immediately, but it will happen. Recently, God show me or gave me a feeling, (discernment) regarding a specific situation in my life. When that very situation came to light,
I could only laugh and thank God for the manifestation.
I wonder if that is how some in the Bible reacted after God prepared them for what was coming. For instance, Noah and the ark. People must have thought he was crazy, but when the rain came, they wanted to get on the ark!!! Do not let others encourage you or discourage you from what God has shown you, even if you seem to be waiting an eternity.
A co-signer is not needed when God is doing the leading.
Trust God! If He said it, it will come to pass! Wait on the manifestation of his power!
Prayer: Thank you, Lord for what you have manifested and what is about to manifest in our lives. We give you praise for the manifestation of protection, love, strength, and guidance.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Corinthians 12:7 KJV
Prayer gives you power to walk on purpose
