This morning I spoke to a great friend of mine. She gave me some words that hurt, but I needed to hear. Everybody need a good friend that will tell you when you need to hear something. I am so thankful for my godly counsel this morning. The funny thing is, she was not telling me what I did not already know, it was I did not want to face it.
God has given me an assignment and honestly, I do not like the assignment. It is calling me out of my comfort zone. But that is how our God is, He is preparing me for greater. I know I will have the victory, but the walk is still uncomfortable. Today, I vow to do what I have to do, because I told God, "yes". I did not say yes, only when it feels good. I simply said, yes. I will do my best to do it with a joyful heart, as well. If I look at it differently. God trusted me with the assignment, how can I not. So, if you are in that place or headed to that place, I pray you have a friend that will give you the words you need. If you do not have that friend, that is my prayer for you today. Thank you, friend. I love you! Proverbs 18:24

Along with the Word for hope, encouragement, and joy, sometimes I need to hear a song, or a few songs. Do you have a song in your heart? A song that help carry you through the day?
For me I would say it is "Amazing Grace". I can sing that song and by the time I get to a particular verse, I break out into worship and praise. What is your song? Share it with me in the comments, maybe someone else can be encouraged by your song... If you do not have a song, maybe you will have one after reading one in the comment section.... Blessings!! Psalms 100 I love you.
Three words. Easy to say. Is it easy? Is it easy to love someone who has hurt you? Is it easy to love someone who do not love you? Is it easy to love? Love is more than a saying. Love is action. Are you speaking love or showing love? Focus on "love in action", today. Show love... Share love... Speak love.... Matthew 25: 35-40 Eating egg whites is the "new" healthy norm for most. As I was preparing a recipe, where I had to separate the egg whites from the yolk, a scripture came to mind.
I looked at the egg, the yolk (dark) and the white (light) was easy to separate, but when I didn't separate, the yolk appears to take over the egg, you no longer see the white.... We are in the world but not of the world. We should let our light shine in every circumstance of life. Do not be like the egg and let the dark make you appear invisible. Guess what? When I beat the egg whites on high, they became bigger and stronger, peaks formed. As we continue on our journey we too will be elevated and made stronger, through the trails of this life. John 17:9-12, Romans 12:2, Romans 8:1, 1 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 5:8, I really like a good pair of shoes.... I was in my closet looking for the right pair to wear today.
I had a choice of colors. I had a choice of highs or lows. I had a choice of style. I had a choice. This thought came to mind.... You can choose the shoe you want to wear but but God knows the path... See God knows the plan, you choose how you are going to walk the path... Will you say yes? Will you be obedient? Will you fight all the way? Will you turn the other way? Will you be full of joy? My prayer for you today is you make the right choice. I pray you put on the best shoe, make the right choice, and step forward in your purpose... My heart is filled with thankfulness today. I am so thankful for the person reading this post, right now. I am so thankful God has allowed me, given me the opportunity, to share with others the words He give me. I am truly thankful.
Today, I want to encourage you to not give up on God. If He said it, it will come to pass. In due season, when He is ready, it will come. I feel you this morning...you are tired of waiting, you are tired of others telling you it won't always be like this, and you are ready... you are ready, so you think. But you have to know, God knows when you are ready and He will not release those blessings until the right time. It is not about you, others are connected to your blessing and every detail of your blessing, is known by God. Stay encouraged! Stay thankful! Keep pressing your way! As a minister, I have found that people will tell me things they would not tell others. I sometimes give them encouragement with the word or sometimes we pray immediately.
There have been other times where I had nothing to say. It use to bother me, because I was feeling as though I was failing those I did not have a word or prayer for. But I have learned, not everybody want or need a word or prayer, they want a listening ear. A listening ear and a closed mouth. (I need to repeat that) A listening ear and a closed mouth. They do not want a scripture, prayer, and they do not need you to tell another person about their concern. When someone entrust you with the concerns of their life, DO NOT become a listening ear and a runny mouth. I find it to be an honor that they see that in me. They know I will give it to Jesus and keep it moving. I recognize the only person that can solve their issues/concerns is Jesus. I am an intercessor, not the solution. If God allows someone to come to you and tell you all about their concern, thank God, then move as the Spirit of God would have you to move. It may be a prayer, or scripture, or it could be silence. He will direct you. Be a listening ear and a closed mouth. James 5:14-16, Luke 22:32, Matthew 18:19-20, For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
(Imagine me dropping that scripture and walking off stage like a boss) Laughter is good for the soul.... but seriously.... God is God. God is in control. God is sovereign. When you know without a doubt God is God, God is your God, you can have peace. You do not have to worry about the things happening around you. You do not have to worry about the President of the United States, the supervisor on your job, the spouse that is distant, the child that is clueless, or the price of gas in 4 years. Know that God is God. Know that He is your guide even to death. God is your God. God is your God. Hold on...
It is coming... I feel the shifting in the atmosphere... What does the shifting feel like? It feels like you are about to be lifted, turned, and positioned, right where God wants you. Truth be told, I can not explain the shifting to you, I just know it is coming. Wait for it... Hold on... It is now, the time is here. You are about to see the manifestation of your prayers! God said, you are ready. He has prepared you for it.. It is coming!! I am so excited for you!! Isaiah 40:31, Psalm 27: 13-14 What are you thankful for? Take a moment and really think about that question, make a list. Review your list and think, why are you thankful for each item? Do you see a pattern?
I have a list in my mind. As I reviewed my list, I realized it was nobody but God! I can do nothing, I am nothing, without God. I am so thankful for our relationship. You see, I did not always seek Him first. My mind was on the big house, big car, bigger job, not eternal life. I paid attention to the tangible things of this world, but just like Solomon in Ecclesiastes, I realized it is all "vanity". I am mindful of the young man that asked Jesus what he had to do for eternal life. The young man said he was doing all the things Jesus said but when Jesus told him to give up everything;he walks away and you never hear of that young man again. (Matthew 19: 16-22) When you have an encounter with Jesus there will be a change. A change like no other. You will see things differently. You will love differently. You are not the same. That my friend, is truly a reason to be thankful. |
