What are you thankful for? Take a moment and really think about that question, make a list. Review your list and think, why are you thankful for each item? Do you see a pattern?
I have a list in my mind. As I reviewed my list, I realized it was nobody but God! I can do nothing, I am nothing, without God. I am so thankful for our relationship.
You see, I did not always seek Him first. My mind was on the big house, big car, bigger job, not eternal life. I paid attention to the tangible things of this world, but just like Solomon in Ecclesiastes, I realized it is all "vanity". I am mindful of the young man that asked Jesus what he had to do for eternal life. The young man said he was doing all the things Jesus said but when Jesus told him to give up everything;he walks away and you never hear of that young man again. (Matthew 19: 16-22)
When you have an encounter with Jesus there will be a change. A change like no other. You will see things differently. You will love differently. You are not the same.
That my friend, is truly a reason to be thankful.
