This morning in some of my reading, I came across Deuteronomy 11: 16 (NLT):
But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the Lord and serve and worship other gods. Let the gods go in your life. What are the gods in your life that keep you from time with God? Is it your marriage, money, children, addictions, social media, or maybe a combination of the things mentioned? If you put God first, he will bless you financially, He will bless your marriage, your children, and He will allow you time to have fun. Living a God- filled life is not boring and you will not feel like your are missing out. Take a moment each day and commune with your Father. He wants to talk to you but you can not hear Him because you are too busy. Instead of watching that hot TV show, sit still in His presence. Instead of talking on the phone with your friends, for hours at a time, talk with your Father. How can we be too busy to talk to the One that created us and gave us the ability to talk? How can we be too busy to listen to the One that created us and gave us ears to hear? HOW?? Give up those little gods and see just how much God truly loves you!!!

Today I'm sharing a page out of "One Word- 30 Day Devotional", available on Amazon.com in print and Kindle format by Tonie Mapson:
Patience Day 7 Have you been praying for something and you feel like you cannot wait any longer? You do realize that God’s time is not our time. What feels like days, months, years, even centuries, is but a moment to God. Not very encouraging, but the truth. During your time of waiting, I want to encourage you to exhibit patience. Exhibit patience by praising God. Exhibit patience by worshiping God. Exhibit patience by praying to God. Exhibit patience by continuing to live. While you are exhibiting patience, God is working. He is preparing you. He is maturing you. He is opening doors and moving mountains. He is preparing those around you. When it comes to you, you and everyone around you will know it was God, and He will get all the glory. Remember Job. Job went thru some suffering for a very, very long time. Every aspect of his life was touched, his family, his home, and his livestock. But during all that, not once did he curse God. Now he was human, he asked some questions but he did not curse God. He endured. He exhibited patience. If you know the story, then you know that God knew Job was about to be tested. God knew Job would not be given more than he could bare. God knew. So while you wait, exhibit patience. When you have bad news, you normally call a friend and tell them all about it. Telling a friend is good, but call on Jesus.
You can call a friend, and they may give you some advice, but when you call Jesus, He can fix it. A friend, may be able to listen and offer advice, but Jesus will listen and take action. A friend might share your news with others, but when you tell Jesus, it stays with Him. You have to call a friend, in order for them to start praying, but Jesus already knows, and He is interceding on your behalf. You may call a friend, but they are unavailable, Jesus is always available. CALL JESUS!!! Thank you Lord, for this brand new day. Thank you Lord, for brand new mercies. As we go about this day, let us come together, on one accord, and bless your name. Guide us this day. Lord, we pray for the various worship services this morning. Praying that you inhabit the praises of your people. Lord, use us today for your glory. Cover the men and women of God, who will be preaching the word this morning. Hide them behind the cross, that you are seen and not them. I rebuke the adversary in the worship services today. Thank you for the person that will hear a word today, that will change their life. Thank you they will make a decision to choose life and not death. Thank you for sending your Son, that we may live. Thank you Lord, He came to save the world and not condemn the world. Lord we thank you. Let everything we do this day, give you glory. Lord we thank you for this brand new day, filled with your glorious grace and mighty mercy. You are everything! We love you. We adore you. We magnify your Holy Name!! In Jesus name, Amen.
Rejoice!!! God is!! There is so much we can say behind God is!!
I know God is love! God is hope! God is peace! God is faithful! God is mighty! God is awesome! God is magnificent! God is the provider! God is the healer! God is!! What is God to you? Can you take a few minutes, before you get to wrapped up in this busy day, and tell God who He is to you?? I dare you to take 5 minutes and begin to speak in the atmosphere, "GOD IS....."!! Let me tell you what I'm waiting on ( a husband!!!) ;-)
This is what I have learned: While I'm waiting, I'm already a wife. I carry myself as married to Jesus. He is preparing me and that husband for the right time. See, I can honestly say I was not ready for a husband a few years back. I had to learn to love me. I had to grow. I had to be prepared. Women if you are single, be single, and married to God. Don't let men date you, or should I say bait you, take you, and flake on you. You are better than that. I been there done that. I can honestly say, I am saved, single, and celibate. If you are struggling in a relationship, as a single Christian woman, and you are giving your all as a wife (read between the lines), leave. If he hasn't married you by now, he is not. You deserve more. Stop telling yourself, you don't want to be married, because if you living together, sleeping together, paying bills together, having children together, you want to be married. I don't know who this is for, because it truly is not where I had planned to go this morning. But God is telling you what to do and you are being disobedient. He has work for you to do in the kingdom, but you can't do the work effectively, if your house is not in order. What are you afraid of? Being alone, God will never leave or forsake you. Not having the money to support yourself, God is your provider. You think it's too late or God can't possibly love you, your are royalty in God's eye. He loves you. God is waiting on you, if you take the first step, He got the rest. Take your faith walk and watch Him open doors. I'm a witness!!! I fell down stairs on Saturday. Today I have one bad scar on my knee, some areas on both legs that look a little rough, and I have pain in my legs and shoulder.
I had a physical fall. Some years ago, I had a spiritual fall. When we experience a spiritual fall, there will be some pretty bad scars, might even pain us at times, when we think about it. But glory to God for healing!! I promise you, if you keep pushing your way through, there is healing. It may take a day, two weeks, two years, but healing is available to you. God has forgiven you. In John 3:16, we are reminded of God's love for us. Verse 17, tells us, He did not send His Son to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved!! That is good news!! Have you fallen? Well, guess what? Just like I fell on Saturday, I got back up with my scars, and I'm pressing my way. You can do the same!! My Bible cover states Divinely Inspired Very Anointed. For some reason looking at that made me think of something that happened yesterday. This is a moment of transparency.
So I have gained some weight, and yesterday I had on a pair of undies that did not fit the way they should. Now on the outside, I appeared to be "all together", but underneath I was struggling. I was reminded, people do not and can not see our struggles. You never know what someone is going through. So if your "panties" (problems, concerns, issues of life) are causing you grief, God got it! If the "panties" ( roles you have, thoughts you have) are too big, don't worry, God got it!! If the "panties" ( money, food, etc.) are too small, don't worry, God got it!! You know what I did.... took them off, never to put them on again. You know what you should do.... take it to the Lord in prayer and leave them "panties" with Him. Never to pick them up again!! Have an awesome day!! Glory Hallelujah!! He bought you through last week. What was set up to destroy you, failed. You are preparing to go to worship this morning.
I was reading Exodus this morning and I realized we (me included) are quick to forget, just like the Isrealites. They walked through the Red Sea, but was quick to complain once they made it to the other side. We do the same thing, forgetting the many trials God has bought us through when a new one appears. Thank you Lord, for mercy and grace!! Let us try to worship continually this week. When you are faced with a trial this week, instead of forgetting, worship. |
