Whatever you do this morning, this week, focus first. Do not let the issues of life, the chaos around you, distract you from the greater purpose. Focus on Jesus. If you get distracted, re- focus on Jesus. He is with you, there is nothing to hard for Jesus!
He is everything you need! Focus, focus, focus!!! I am praying you have a successful week, full of joy and favor. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Only what we do for Christ will last.

I have a testimony.
On Friday morning, I placed a pot of water on the stove to boil, then I went into my office. While in the office, my son called for me to leave the house. I never went back to the kitchen. We left the house a little after 9 AM, we returned at approximately 9 PM. First, when we returned home, the house was fine on the outside. Secondly, when I walked in the kitchen, there was no smoke, no fire, not even a burnt pot!! The fire was still under the pot!! God is so good!! I thank Him for protection! Nobody but God kept the house from burning down! Nobody but God!! He answers prayers. Daily, I pray for covering and protection from dangers seen and unseen. What a mighty God!! What a mighty God!! God will give you strength.
I had approximately three hours of sleep, last night. I have been up since approximately 5:20 AM. I have prayed with my prayer partner and dived into the word. I have such an excitement about the word, do you know what I mean? When you reading the word and God begins to guide you to different scriptures, connecting the dots, it is so exciting! To hear a word from the Lord. To know what He is giving you is for that day and possibly for you to share with someone else.... WOW!!! I don't even feel a little tired! I have God-given strength for this day! Today, I have no plans. I am totally relying on Him. Thank you, Lord!! Get your word today, He have something just for you!! 2 Timothy 2:15, Psalm 1:2, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 119:11 This is the day the Lord has made, we will be glad and rejoice in it!!
Will you rejoice in it? Are you glad and rejoicing, because God has created another day for you? Are you glad and rejoicing, because you still have opportunity to share Jesus today? Are you glad and rejoicing, because the Savior lives? Are you glad and rejoicing, even though the bank account is low? Are you glad and rejoicing, even though your spouse want a divorce? Are you glad and rejoicing, even though your business partner has quit? Are you glad and rejoicing, even though your child is sick? Are you glad and rejoicing, no matter what your "it" is? Psalm 118:24 I know there is so much going on in the world today. Matter of fact, so much is happening all around you. Makes the mind distracted. Your thoughts are all over the place. You do not know if you are coming or going some days.
Actually, I do not know about you, I will talk about me. I find myself often analyzing the happenings around me. I even go into" day thoughts", that is the name I gave them. The thoughts can be really crazy too. It is in that moment, I change my thinking. I begin to recite scriptures. Whatever scripture that comes to mind. I do not care if it is, "Jesus wept", it is still the word. I try to remember the scripture to think on good, pure, lovely... It helps to clear my mind, get my mind right, then I can focus on God. You want to protect your mind. It is the place often attacked by the enemy. Somebody wrote a bestseller about the battlefield of the mind. When the "day thoughts", "night thoughts", or any other thoughts try to distract you, speak life. Philippians 4:8, Romans 12:2 I have been focused on retirement planning. Researching IRA's, 401's, FOREX trading, and traditional savings accounts. It has been very overwhelming. I know that I must do the work now, to be comfortable later. I also want to teach my children how to prepare for the future now, so when they become my age, they will already have savings.
There is plenty of false information and scams available to those searching. _________________ There is one thing I am sure of, as far as my future is concerned, my salvation. If I pass today, tomorrow, or 30 years from now, my salvation is secure. I have eternal life. I continue to study the Word and pray His will daily in my life. There is nothing overwhelming about that, it is peaceful to know, I have a present and a future with Jesus. I shall live and not die. The false prophets may come, but I am going to stay rooted in the Word, which is truth. I have told my children, no money, I leave them, will make them as secure as Jesus, who is with them. John 3:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, Romans 8:17 I shared this during a vision board party a week ago. We often say or hear, write the vision make it plain. What are we saying? Once you have a vision, then what? Here is some suggestions:
1. Trust God 2. Make sure you have some power scriptures to keep you focused 3. Remember this acronym: V- Victory (when God gives the vision, there is victory) I- Inspiration (remember your power scriptures, stay inspired) S- Successful Steps (take one step at a time toward the vision) I- Implement (you have to act, be obedient to the Holy Spirit guidance ) O- Overview (review what you are doing, make sure you are lined up with the vision) N- Note changes (there will be distractions, when the changes come, keep pressing) If God said it, it will come to pass!!!Nothing, not even yourself, can stop what God has said. Blessings!!! Habakkuk 2: 2-3 If you follow, One Word for Life Ministry, on FB then you know about the last few days of video postings. I talked about following God's directions and what you can do if you get off the right path. Yesterday, it was not a video, but I posted about the bump in the road.
_________________________________ Well, it all hit me at once, and I failed!!! Big time!! But it is going to be fine. I know who I am and whose I am. It is a reminder to me that I am not untouchable. I am not just talking the talk, but I am also walking the walk. The next time, I will pass. My word for you today, stay encouraged. You will not get it right everyday. You are not perfect, but you serve a perfect God. He knows you better than you know yourself. Stay encouraged. Stay in the Word. Speak life!! 1 John 4:4 I was driving and hit a speed bump in the road. I did not see the speed bump, but when I hit it I knew it was there. At that point, there was nothing to do but keep going. I thanked God for good tires and continued on my journey.
_______________ What do you do when the speed bumps of life come upon you? Do you stop and let it hinder your journey? Do you go around the speed bump, only to realize there is another one coming? Can I offer a suggestion? Go through the speed bump, it is only temporary. If you go through slow or fast, it does not matter, just go through. There is smooth ground beyond the bump. The more you go through, the easier it gets, the less toil on you. When you see it coming, you are prepared and you can look back and see all the speed bumps you have crossed before. When it comes up unexpectedly, you can still make it through. Keep driving, God is your pilot. He will not steer you wrong. Every bump you encounter, He is with you. Proverbs 3: 5-6, Psalm 37:23, Psalm 23:4 This journey through life can seem tough at times. How do you push your way through?
Sometimes, I have to encourage myself. I have to remind myself, what is for me is for me and nobody can take it from me. I have to remember that I can do all things through Christ. I will repeat God's promises to get me through the day. I know I am the head and not the tail. I know I am more than a conqueror through Him. I know I can walk by faith and not by sight. I know I am walking in victory. The question I have for you today is, how do you encourage yourself? I invite you to study the Bible, get your strength from the words. Get your encouragement from the many witnesses used by God, to do extraordinary things in the kingdom. Be encouraged today! He will never leave or forsake you. He is Jehovah Jirha, your provider.
