Lord, today, we pray for wisdom.
Help us, not to lean to our own understanding. Help us, acknowledge your presence, power, and peace. Help us, trust you are in control, no matter what it looks like. Help us, know the enemy has no power. Help us, stand on the Word. Help us, seek your face before we say or do anything. Help us, have the sword of the Spirit in our heart and minds. Help us, pray for each other. Help us, love one another. Give us wisdom, today. Amen. Amen. Amen.

Today's post is a challenge for you.
Today I want you to spend time in the mirror. I want you to look at where you been, where you are, and where you are going. As you reflect over your life, what do you see? What areas need to change? What areas are just fine? Now, this is personal, between you and God. I want you to know it is never to late. If there is room for improvement, start today. If there is a relationship that needs to be restored, start today. Today is your chance to change. Today is your time to change. Reflect. Restore. Rebuild. This song is resonating in my spirit this morning.
We have truly come this far by faith. Faith in God. Faith, in the impossible made possible. Faith, knowing we serve an Almighty God. Faith, in the Word of God. Faith, knowing we have the victory. We will go even further, as long as, we continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Lean on the Lord. Trust His Holy Word. He has never, will never, fail...... Yes, we have come this far by faith. It is a new year and God's people are still walking in fear.
We are fearful of what man is doing in our lives. We are fearful of what the enemy is doing. W are fearful of what is happening in the world. God said we are fearful of the wrong thing. We need to have a fear of the Lord. Give Him reverence. Study His Word. Live His Word. His Word will tell us everything we need to know, so that we are not fearful of the things around us. He left us peace. PEACE is yours not fear...... PEACE. Every answer you need is in the Word.
You need healing, it's in the Word. You need encouragement, it's in the Word. You need peace, it's in the Word. You need joy, it's in the Word. You need faith, it's in the Word. You need love, it's in the Word. You need your children restored, it's in the Word. You need your marriage renewed, it's in the Word. You need your relationships restored, it's in the Word. Everything, everything, everything you need, it's in the Word. Read and study the Word, daily. 2 Timothy 2:15 Everything you are going through....
Everything you have been through.... Everything you are going to go through... It is not about you.... It has been and will be about God getting the glory. It is His will for your life. It is for Him to get you where He want you to be. Look for Him in everything..... EVERYTHING The good, the bad, and the ulgy....everything... look for Him in it....when you seek Him you will find HIm and realize it was part of His plan for your life. He is in control, at ALL times.... Your test became your greatest testimony and it has blessed so many others. Your test became your passion and put you in position to serve and heal others. It is not about you.... What do you do when God answers your prayer, but it is not the answer you really wanted?
First, you accept the answer. How do you accept the answer? You remind yourself He is God; He is sovereign; He knows best. Second, you stay obedient. You walk in His will, not your own. You press forward. Third, change you attitude. (heart) Changing my attitude was, no is, my struggle. I accept the answer, I am going to be obedient, but my attitude needs adjusting. My heart needs to be right. I had a heart to heart with Jesus last night about this thorn in my side. Clearly, He said, " Lean not to your own understanding". In a brief moment, I knew that He knew. He knows how I feel. Matter of fact, He is allowing me to go through this for a purpose. He is teaching me. He is molding me. He is preparing me. He knew everything about this circumstance before I knew. I also recognize it is all for His glory! He will manifest so powerful in your circumstances, that everyone watching will know it was God that fixed it. It was God that healed. It was God that restored. It was God that delivered. It was God!!! Have you recently received an answer to your prayer and it was not really the answer you wanted. Where are you with that answer now? Acceptance? Obedience? Attitude? Here is my solution.... as I change my attitude (heart), I am going to keep thanking Him in advance for the victory. I know I am victorious! I know you are victorious! Thank Him for the answer and thank Him for the victory!! Remember the exercise where you fall back and the person behind you would try to catch you?
Would you let go of your fear of falling, trusting the person behind you to catch you? Jesus is telling you to fall back. Let go of your fears and trust Him. He will catch you everytime. When you fall back, look up. (Psalm 121) I can guarantee there is safety in His arms. (Psalms 91) What the people around you say, does not matter. (Romans 8: 31) Everything will work out for your good. (Romans 8:28) He will not leave you or forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6) In the first example, when you fall, the person behind you might not catch you because your load is too heavy. The person may not catch you because they have no strength. But God!!! If you put your trust in Him..... Fall back...... Abba Father, thank you for the shifting.
Thank you for the doors being opened in the spiritual realm and manifesting in the physical realm. As you prepare us for the overflow, we thank you for the shift. The shifting may feel like "sifting", but we know it is for our good and you will get ALL the glory. We thank you for the people you are moving out of the way. We thank you for the people you are placing in position. We thank you! We know you are the potter and we are the clay. As you continue to mold, shape, and shake us, to our purpose, we recognize the shift. We feel different. We talk different. We walk different. We look different. Hallelujah for the shifting!! Thank you Lord! Amen. Amen. Amen. Isaiah 43:19, Isaiah 64:8 Many, many, many, years ago, I would read Psalm 51, every morning. I did not know who wrote it, what was happening at the time, or why it was significant for me.
Looking back, I understand. God was showing me repentance. David had done a mighty bad act. Actually, he used sin to cover up sin. In this Psalm, he pours his heart out, he stands naked before God, admitting his sin and asking for forgiveness. This whole psalm is an awakening moment, but what sealed it for me was verses 16-17 (NLT): You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering. The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God. I was happily married at the time, but it all changed.... I will not go into details, but I often admit, my marriage issues, started with me. But God!! He forgave me, when I had a psalm 51 moment. It was just me and HIM; I came before Him and like David, I admitted my sin and asked for forgiveness, with my heart. I learned from these verses... words don't mean much, the heart means everything. I believe on this Christian journey, it is important to remember we are not perfect. We will make mistakes. Repent with your heart. Move forward. Read: Psalm 51, Philippians 3: 13-14 |
