The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. That's it!! Put Psalms 23:1 on repeat in your mind today. When you begin to think on what you lack, remember you shall not want!! God is your provider of all! What do you feel like you are lacking in your life? If you look around, I mean really look around, with eyes of discernment, you will notice you have no lack. He has provided ALL you need!
Most people today, subconsciously, compare what they have or do not have, with others. STOP!! Trust God. Know that what is for you is for you! Worldly possessions mean nothing in the kingdom of God. Wealth on earth, is not a bad thing, but set your sights higher. Personal testimony: I wanted a luxury car. I decided because I had arrived, I needed a car that represented how great I was. I did not consult God. (First mistake) So I eventually drove off a lot with a pre-owned Mercedes. I was so happy! God began to deal with me, shortly after. I began to mature more. I noticed the maintenance of the car, was not really what I needed in my life. I began to make sure I stayed humble because thoughts would come, like I really thought I was all that!! After awhile, I had to repent. When thoughts of pride would come, I would rebuke the thoughts and thank God that I recognized it was just a car. After some time, He allowed me to trade that car for a car that I absolutely enjoy!!! But you know what after that experience, I noticed, I did not need a bunch of stuff. I have all I need. I went through my house and cleaned it out!!! I cancelled cable!! I cleared debt! I stop making a bunch of frivolous purchases! I pray before I make any purchases or decisions today. I realized I have all I need, because I am His sheep and He is my Shepherd. I have love, peace, joy, favor, faith, patience (most times), and just an abundance of blessings! I realized material wealth is not important compared to my spiritual wealth. Disclaimer: If you have a Mercedes, I am not saying they are not good cars, it just was not for me. If you have an abundance of material wealth, I am not saying it is not a good thing. Wealth is great!. I am just saying for me, when I did a self-check, I had to get my motives right, and now I have more increase than I have ever had. End Disclaimer. So today. Repeat. The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!! Then look in the mirror, what are your motives behind your stuff? Do you need to clean your house? Have a Super Saturday!!
