One word can make a difference. One word can build up or tear down. What are you speaking today? Are you speaking blessings or cursings? What are your thoughts today?
Are you thinking positive or negative?
Has someone in your past spoke negative over your life?
Have you heard:
You are worthless
You will not make it
You are stupid
Let me encourage you today. It is not so. You are created in God's image. You are worth it! You can make it! You are smart with a bright future! Speak life over yourself and others.
Trust what God has created. Find your word, today.
Prayer: Thank you God for your love. Thank you, the negative words have no power.
Thank you, one word from you will erase the negative words spoke. Today my words will speak life. I am a child of God. Your Word gives life! In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Proverbs 13:3 NLT
How are you doing? Feeling isolated? Feeling upset? Worried about Covid-19? Family members or friends affected by Corona? Election on your mind? Unemployment on the horizon?
Virtual school frustration? Wondering will it be "normal" again?
The answers you need, the peace you desire, is in the WORD.
EVERYTHING you need is in the WORD.
As the world moves around you, the WORD will resonate within you.
Meditate on God's promises. As the world withers around you, God's WORD will continue to stand.
The world does not have your answer, go to the WORD.
Trust the WORD. Stand on the WORD. Keep the WORD n your heart.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for the Word. Thank you for answers to chaos, fear, doubt, and hopelessness. The Word is able to provide peace, joy, happiness, and increase faith. You are loving, faithful, and true. You deserve all honor and glory. Thank you, Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: The grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of our God stands forever.
Do you know the story of David and Goliath? Most remember learning of the little boy who conquered the big giant. As I was reading the story this morning, it was a reminder of how God will work in our lives "JUST LIKE THAT." In a matter of seconds lives can change. David taking supplies to his brothers turned to him being used by God to save his brothers. God ordained that moment in David's life.
JUST LIKE THAT, your life can change. Sometimes the change feels great and other times not so great. But know that God is ordering your steps. Have the faith of David. David told Goliath, "I come to thee in the name of the Lord of Host."
The Lord of Host is with you wherever you go. Keep the faith. As God prepares you to walk in new territory and you face giants, remember the little boy who faced and conquered the giant! There is nothing impossible for God!
Prayer: Lord we give you praise. Lord we give you honor. Thank you for being our Creator. Thank you for leading and guiding us on the path you have ordained before the beginning of time. We give you glory. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 KJV
When most hear the word servant the initial thought is "less than" "working for" and/or "slave". The word servant is looked upon as negative. Let me encourage you, today. If you are a servant to God and submissive to his will, you will walk as Jesus walked. It is life-changing to be a servant. Being a servant demonstrates humility, character, and love. Serving is not a sign of weakness but of strength. When you feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, and those incarcerated, (Matthew 25: 35-40) and/or whatever you are led to do by the Holy Spirit, you are ultimately serving God. God is love and your love in action, serving others, is serving your Father. So, who are you serving?
Prayer: Father God in heaven you are God Almighty! Thank you for providing opportunities to serve You by being a servant to your people. Lead us and guide us that you may get all the glory and honor you deserve. Teach us to walk humbly, love swiftly, and serve graciously. We give you glory! In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: The greatest among you must be a servant. Matthew 23:11 NLT
How is your vision for 2020? Is it cloudy due to current events? Are you blindsided by seeing the true colors of those around you? Have you developed a painful pink-eye that has completely blocked the vision??
Let me encourage you today. Don't STOP! Don't QUIT!! The VISION is still clear!! God gave it to you, in spite of current events! Use the current events to propel the VISION not halt the VISION!!
Look to the hills! Walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT!! Trust the VISION and Trust GOD!
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for removing the blinders off our eyes that we may see your vision. Father God, I know you are able to do all things! Father God, I pray for spiritual discernment in this season! Thank you Lord for clear, perfect, VISION!! In Jesus Name, AMEN.
Scripture: For we walk by faith and not by SIGHT. (2 Corinthians 5:8, KJV)
When we call someone on the phone we expect to to hear them on the opposite line. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they do not. If voicemail is available, we leave a message. When the call is disconnected we may feel disconnected, lost, and/or disappointed because we did not speak with the person.
However, I know a man you can call any day or night and He will answer. There is nothing like telling Jesus all about it. You can call Him in the midnight hour, in the early morning hours, and in the noon of day; He will hear your call.
Call on Jesus! Tell Him all about it! There is peace in calling Jesus! There is healing when you call on Jesus! Call on Jesus!!
Prayer: Thank you Lord for hearing our cries. We are thankful that you are the God that never slumbers or sleeps. We give you glory! We give you honor! In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Psalm 86:5 KJV
Why are you watching others write books, start prayer calls, start podcasts, return to school, and or start ministries when God has told you to do the same?
Giving excuses like Moses?
Doubting like Thomas?
Enough is enough!!
Today is the day!!
Now is the hour!!
When you say yes, God will provide everything and everyone you need!
He is already working on your behalf!
There is someone waiting on your book!
There is someone waiting on your podcast!
There is someone waiting on you to get your degree!!
There is someone waiting on your ministry!!!
Prayer: Father God thank you today for giving us a second chance. We thank you in advance for the gift you have given to each of us that your kingdom is edified. Continue to remind us of your power as we submit to your will. In Jesus name, Amen.
Scripture: God is not a man that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do? Or has he spoken, and will not it make good?
If you profess being a Christian, be aware of what you say and do.
A person who openly professes Christ but does not have integrity becomes a poor witness for Christ.
Those who may be straddling the fence may jump completely into the world based off your actions.
I hear someone responding, "I am not perfect and I can do what I want to do."
My reply, "No, none of us are perfect, but when you say yes to Jesus, you are no longer your own." We are disciples for Christ. We are to be a light in a world of darkness.
Be ye holy for I am holy. (1 Peter 1:16)
It is easy when you let the Holy Spirit guide you in all manners of life.
Choose this day whom you will serve? The World or Christ?
Scripture: Let your light so shine before men, that they see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5: 16
Prayer: Lord, thank you for another opportunity to be a light in this dark world. Give us the faith to trust your presence in our lives. Please help us to be disciples and not stumbling blocks to others. Thank you for using us in our imperfect states that you get the glory. We give you praise today for you are the God of mercy and grace. In Jesus Name, Amen.
The world has been placed in suspension. Places of business closed. Schools closed. Churches closed. Shelter in place has been recommended. Lives have changed.
People are sitting in homes feeling isolated, lonely, forgotten.
GOD HAS RECLAIMED HIS TIME BACK!
No longer are the days of busyness. You have purposely been put in a place of stillness. You are purposely placed where you can hear from God. He has reclaimed his time, but have you given it back to Him?
Are you purposefully speaking to your Father?
Are you listening for his voice?
Give the time back to GOD.
Humble yourself, Seek His face.
Pray! Pray! Pray!
Scripture: Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10
Prayer: Father God you have reclaimed your time back. We give it all to you. We pray our worship is strengthen. We pray our prayers are strengthen. We pray the idols of our lives have been removed, destroyed, and will never return. We pray our lives have been renewed, refreshed, and restored that we are in right relationship with you! We give you honor and glory, in Jesus name, Amen.
"And we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". Romans 8:28
The scripture is a reminder of how you can trust God because ALL THINGS work for your good, even if ALL TIMES it does not feel like things are going your way.
The scripture does not say ALL TIMES your life will be a bed of roses.
ALL TIMES will not be stress free living, life changing prosperity, and/or earth moving excitement.
However, you can be confident in the God you serve; the God who called you for his purpose, the God that you love!
Right now, you may be struggling with an issue, please meditate on Romans 8:28.
Be confident in the God you serve. Be confident in HIs love for you. Be confident of your love for Him. Be confident of your call. Be confident of your purpose.
God will not allow the present TIME to destroy you!
Scripture: I will bless the Lord at ALL TIMES: his praise shall continually be in my mouth".
Prayer: Thank you Father God for being a God of love, mercy, and grace. I pray for increased wisdom and faith. I pray for an abundance of confidence, in your power, in the midst of doubt and fear. Give me the mind to not focus on the present TIME but focus on what you have for me in the present THING. In Jesus name, AMEN.
Prayer gives you power to walk on purpose
