It's dark, gloomy, wet, and cold outside. You are standing in the middle of the street and a car comes rushing past, making water splash all over your clothes. You become upset, cross the street and enter your place of employment.
When you enter your place of employment, you still feel dark, gloomy, wet, and cold. You bought it in with you. As you make your way to the elevator, you smell coffee brewing in the cafe, so you decide to get a cup. When you begin to pay, someone pays for you. You make your way to the elevator, sipping your coffee, which makes you feel warm. Someone greets you with a smile and hello. You smile back. You notice the flower arrangements and the bright lights in the corridor. You smile thinking about the vacation you took a few weeks prior. You make it to the top floor and when you get off the elevator you feel great!! It's bright, clear, dry, and warm. Why did I tell this story? Because, it is not about how it starts but how you finish. Be careful of the darkness around you, brighter day is coming. Do not take the darkness with you, leave it at the front door. As God continues to elevate you to the top, when you get there, you will not remember the dark days, only the sunshine. Do not look back, keep pressing forward, all the way up to the top floor!!!
