I consider myself a pretty good cook. I often try new recipes, especially health conscious meals. Recently, I made bone broth. It was really easy to make. I started with bones and water. I did not add any seasonings until the process, 24-48 hours, was almost completed. I tasted it before I added vegetables and seasonings, it was bland.
Why did I share that? Well, because I was thinking this morning about our Christian walk. You can be Christian and go to church every Sunday, but if you don't add the seasonings.... What are the seasonings? Add some prayer. Add some fruit of the spirit. Add some faith. Add bible study and Sunday school. Add some witnessing. Most importantly, make sure you stay connected to the vine. Add some seasoning, get off the same pew, every Sunday, returning home, with no seasonings. Galatians 5:22-23, John 15:5,

Good morning!!!
Welcome to your do over day!! You did not get everything right, yesterday. You did not say everything you needed to say, yesterday. You did not go to all the places you were to go, yesterday. You did not reconcile broken relationships, yesterday. Today is a do over day!! Time to complete what you should have done, yesterday! You get another opportunity to get this thing, called life, right!! Make the best of today!! It is your DO OVER day!!! Distraction- something/someone that is placed in the way of your destiny. ( My definition)
How do you overcome those distractions? Keep you mind on Jesus. Remember you have a purpose. Distractions are not always, or do not always appear unpleasant. Distractions can appear as a 6 ft., handsome, white teeth..... Distractions can appear as a monetary bonus on your job... The point is, remember you have a destiny. The enemy is on the prowl, he has no victory, but his bark can be loud. The closer you are to purpose, the louder his bark can sound. Do not get distracted. Keep pressing your way. It is your season! You have a divine destiny! 1 Peter 5:8, Romans 8:38-39 In this world today, there are so many things to be thankful for.
I know it does not look like it, most times, but if you keep your mind on Christ.... If you focus on the good... If you keep your eyes lifted to the hills... If you bless the Lord at all times.... If you pray without ceasing... If you love unconditionally.... There is so much to be thankful for... Romans 1:8, Numbers 6:24-26 We are not perfect and that is a good thing.
Imperfections remind us that God's grace is sufficient. Have you ever shopped for an item and received a discount because it had an imperfection? If so, were you excited about that discount? Did you realize that you could not really see the imperfection? __________________ But when we think about our own imperfections, we feel like we are lacking. If an item with an imperfection excites you, why not be excited about who you are. You are wonderfully and fearfully made, with your imperfections. God is excited about you!! God loves you!! His Son paid the price for you!! Psalm 139:14, Genesis 1:27 I went to a graduation in Virginia over the weekend. It was cold. It was very cold. It was extremely cold. Wait... that is not the post for today, but it was cold...
My goddaughter had a favorite scripture on her posters. I can understand why that is a verse of choice. It is praise to God and a reminder of who we serve. It is Him working around, through, and for us that makes life possible. We need to operate in faith and know there is nothing impossible for Him!!! I am so proud of my goddaughter! This is only the start of bigger and better things. As she continues to remind herself of the power God has, she will go far. As for other graduates and my readers today, read Ephesians 3:20 and remember the God you serve. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you can ask or think!! Ephesians 3:20 Walk by faith and not by sight.
It is in the word, matter of fact, that is the Word. Walk by faith and not by sight. Are you walking by faith? Are you sure? Are you trying to orchestrate the outcome? Are you trying to make it all fit together? Are you justifying your means by saying faith without works is dead? Be careful, your faith working does not mean you should try to fix "it" yourself. Your faith working is just that, let your faith in God, allow Him to work it out for the good. I guarantee, He will get all the glory!! Walk by faith and not by sight.... 2 Corinthians 5:7 Please pray.
Pray for this country. Pray for the children. Pray for health. Pray for love. Pray for wisdom. Pray for peace. Pray for joy. Pray for marriages. Pray for guidance. Just pray.... 1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 5:16, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6 I normally post in the morning. This song has been in my spirit all day and I can not sleep until I share it. I need to remind everyone, we are going to tear the kingdom of satan down.
He has no power. It may look like he winning to some but he is a defeated foe. We are going to tear his kingdom down. We are going to pray his kingdom down. We are going to preach his kingdom down. We are going to tear it down!!! The enemy is going down. Revelation 12 I wish I could draw. I need you to close your eyes and imagine how a flower looks. I want you to see the blooming, colorful flower. It can be whatever color you want, it can be as big as you want. Now, I want you to envision the stem. A long, green stem that goes into the ground, attached to the root.
You are the flower and your stem is Jesus. Be assured that as long as you are attached to Jesus, as long as you are attached to the root, you will bloom. When I see the green, I am hearing prosperity. Everything you touch will prosper as long as you are attached to Jesus. Everything! Your marriage, your children, your career, your church, everything will prosper! You have to stay attached and stay rooted and grounded in who you know, Jesus!! Matthew 6:28-30 |
